Practice Policies

Confidentiality

All patients' records on file or computer are completely confidential. The Practice complies with the Access to Medical Records Act, the Data Protection Act and the Caldecott Report. In the course of everyday Patient Care and Administration your data may be shared (in confidence) with specific NHS organisation.

Are there any charges for treatment ?

Certain services are not included on the NHS, for example:

  • Private medical reports
  • Private sick notes
  • Verification of identity
  • Certain travel immunisations

When booking a 'private' service please ask and verify the price before you book an appointment. We follow the pricing recommendations of the British Medical Association.

Complaints

The practice strives to provide the best possible service for our patients. If you have a grievance please ask for a complaint form, complete and return to the Practice Manager.

Zero Tolerance

To ensure the safety of our staff the practice operates the NHS 'Zero Tolerance' policy.

Abusive behaviour either physical or verbal or wilful damage to practice property will result in you being removed from the list and where necessary the police informed.
